Campaign Setup Guide
Steps to getting your first campaign off of the ground.
Step 1: Setting Up an Advertiser
Navigation: From the left side panel click on "Amazon DSP" then "Campaign Manager". Within the new window select the Advertisers option.
- Once in the Advertiser portion of your Campaign Manager click on the dropdown for Create advertiser account and select Amazon DSP advertiser
- Fill out all necessary information that pertains to your business and save at the bottom
Step 2: Creating an Order
Navigation: Once an advertiser is created click on the advertiser to take you to a new advertiser specific window. Click on Create order
- This is where you set up your initial campaign details such as type of channel, campaign goal, budget/flight dates
- Conversions for orders can be added at a later time via Events Manager
Step 3: Creating Line Item(s)
Navigation: After saving your order you will be taken to a new screen where you can create your line items within the order.
- Click on the Create dropdown and select create line item
- This is the most granular level of campaign level details
- Targeting: inventory, audience, geo, demo, device
- Operational setting: pacing, bidding adjustments, frequency capping
Note: if you set frequency capping on the Order level and it differs from what you put in the Line Item the DSP will default to the Order settings
Step 4: Assigning Creatives
Navigation: once you have saved your Line Item it will then take you to the Creatives tab.
- Click the “...” next to the add or remove creatives button and select create creatives
- Select the type of channel your campaign will be utilizing
- The new screen will allow you to upload your new creatives and assign details like click through URLs
- Once your creative is saved it will automatically go into a creative approval process that is handled by Amazon (SLA: typically 12-24 hrs)
